What a busy October it was! Not only was I working on a new design, but also our Instagram account just took off....and it is still growing! Last month alone, we gained over 200 followers and had two giveaways to celebrate! For a small company, getting your brand out there is hardest part so this is pretty exciting.
This week we also introduced our “Wild Nights” line of sleep masks. The entire collection is animal themed with beautiful soft textured animal prints from cheetahs to cows. For those that like a little more masculine look, there is also suede snake skin and leather alligator. Of course all material is faux as we DO NOT use any animal products to make our sleep masks.
THANKSGIVING AND COVID
Hopefully everyone is almost over the election and getting ready to dive into the holiday season. As Thanksgiving approaches, and COVID cases increase, here are a few tips from the CDC to help stay safe if you are planning to gather with family and friends: 1) Staying home and celebrating the holidays with members of your household is the best way to reduce your risk of contracting or transmitting the coronavirus. 2) Keep your celebrations small. 3) Talk with your family about all the details ahead of the celebrations, from who will be at the table and where you’ll gather, to whether you’ll wear masks and even bring your own individual meals from home to avoid sharing serving utensils.
4) If travel is part of your holiday plans, consider driving instead of flying to limit your potential exposure to other travelers.
5) If you are flying, wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands frequently, and try not to check a bag because you don’t want to wait in a crowd to get your luggage.
6) If you’re traveling, consider staying at a hotel rather than with relatives, unless everyone in the group is very low risk and has plenty of space to spread out.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING IDEAS
Finally, holiday shopping season will be in full swing this month as well. Consider avoiding crowed stores and shop online. Most importantly, really consider buying from home based businesses, local artists and local shops rather than large retail stores. These small businesses are suffering and really need your support to survive.
ONE LAST THING!!! Be sure you are following My Pink Penguin on Facebook or Instagram, as we will be having flash sales all month long as well as Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals! If you are looking for a unique gift for that hard to buy for person, we have you covered!!
